Loyd Goldhammer, 92, of Madison, SD passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Bethel Lutheran Home in Madison.  Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Kinzley Funeral Home in Madison.  Burial will take place at 1 pm on Monday, January 12 at Green Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, SD.

Loyd Goldhammer was born on September 18, 1933 to John and Emma (Pekoske) Goldhammer in Wagner, SD.  In 1940 he moved with his family to a farm near Fulton, SD.  He attended Fulton Public School and was confirmed at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Alexandria in 1948.  He spent 2 years serving in the Army in Germany and then moved home to farm with his family.  In 1970, he and his brother, Clarence, moved to rural Emery where they farmed.
