Two individuals were pulled from the ice on Brant Lake, after falling through late Saturday. 

Lake County Emergency Management says that at approximately 7:53pm Saturday, first responders were dispatched after a report that two individuals had broken through. The two had been ice fishing, and were driving their side-by-side across the lake toward the west boat ramp when the ice gave way.

Emergency Management officials say that, thanks to great coordination between all agencies involved, both ice fishermen were successfully rescued and transported to Madison Regional Health System.  One Responder was also transported as a precaution.

Agencies responded included the Lake County Sheriff’s Office and Lake County Dive Team, the Chester and Wentworth Fire Departments, SD Game Fish and Parks, SD Highway Patrol, Madison Regional Health-Ambulance, and Sanford Care Flight.
