The Chester High School One-Act Play received a “Superior” rating this weekend, at the State One-Act Play Festival in Brandon. 

Chester’s play this year was “Queens”, written by Kristen Doherty. The play depicts King Henry VIII, who after his death, is trapped in purgatory, and  forced to relive the sins he committed against his Queens as he endures the replay of his life.  

Three Chester actors, Ainsley Breu, Gavin Smith, and Korey Wollmuth, received individual superior awards. 

Two groups in the play also received Superior Ensembles awards. Those were given to Kamdyn Arneson, Kenzi Lavin, Megan Pitts, Makayla Shum, Makenzie Cacho, Kaitlyn Swenson; as well as Aliya Jones, Belle Poncelet, Madi Pitts, Maci Hahn, Kaitlyn Hilbelink, Lila Boysen.

Madison High School also presented their one-act play, “The Lonely Lighthouse”, at the festival. 

Madison’s Bodhi Moore, Easton Neu, Milo Osborn, and Kristalyn Mette, all received individual superior awards.
