The Annual meeting for the Interlakes Area United Way was held on Monday night in Madison. At the meeting, board president Lori Gustaf introduced Karen Giles as the new IAUW Executive Director. Giles started last April as interim director, before officially taking the role.
Giles told those at the meeting that she’s looking forward to meeting with all the community partners the United Way serves.
This year the IAUW will give $169,250 to 29 community partners. That’s nearly a $40,000 increase from what was awarded in the year prior.
Also at Monday’s meeting, Gustof presented the Madison Fire Department as the Outstanding Volunteer of the year.
Board Vice-chair Danielle Kearin presented the Outstanding Business Partner award to KJAM Radio.
The Meeting also included the announcement of a United Way rebranding, and new website for the IAUW.
