The Dakota State University women’s basketball team returns to the NAIA semifinals for just the second time in school history tonight, after Saturday is 85-79 win over Georgetown College.

DSU led by as many as 19 in the second half on Saturday, but Georgetown pulled it to within a basket late in the third quarter. Dakota State struggled from three-point range, shooting just 8 of 29, but were still able to pull away for the victory in the fourth quarter.

Tabor Teal had 16 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Trojans, along with six block shots. Caitlin Dyer added 16 for Dakota State.

Now Dakota State finds themselves among the last four team standing in the NAIA women’s national tournament. The Trojans take on the two time defending champions from Dordt tonight at 6 PM.

The Defenders defeated DSU earlier this season 86-82 back on November 11.

Tonight’s game begins at 6 PM from the Tyson event center in Sioux City, and can be heard on Madison‘s Amazing Country 103.1 FM
