Madison commissioners approved a new TIF during their meeting on Tuesday. City Administrator Jameson Berreth gave a recap of the project.

Once the TIF funds are used to pay off the loan used by the developers, the building will be fully owned by the Interlake’s Community Action Partnership, and therefore tax exempt. 

The developers say that tax exempt status of the apartments will help keep rents low.
