The Chester girls advanced to the Region 3B semifinals, with a 50-33 win over Bridge-Water Emery on Tuesday. Chester opened up a 33-17 lead at halftime, but scored four points in the 3rd quarters, and saw their lead at just 37-30 going into the 4th. It turned out, 37 points would be all they needed. The Flyers defense held the Huskies to just three points in the 4th, as Chester won their 19th game of the season.
Emmy Eppard scored a game high 21 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 steals for the Flyers. Jacy Wolf had 13 points in the win.
Chester will take on Colman-Egan Thursday in the Region Semifinals. The Hawks rolled to a 53-33 win over Howard last night. Both 3B semifinals will be played Thursday night at Madison High School.
Chester handed Colman-Egan their only loss of the regulars season last week.

Two players scored in double figures to push McCook Central/Montrose over Parker/Marion 53-35 in Region 5A girls basketball Tuesday.
Ella DeKnikker led the Fighting Cougars with 18 points, six assists and four steals, Mya Morrison added another 12 points and seven rebounds.
MCM will host Hanson in the Region semis Thursday.

Kailey Cradduck scored her 1,000th career point as Class A No. 6 Sioux Valley defeated Deuel in Region 2A girls basketball 72-22.
Cradduck finished with a game-high 20 points with four rebounds, Liberty Trygstad added 16 points, six assists and five steals.
Sioux Valley hosts Clark/Willow Lake on Thursday.
