The Madison Planning commission is hearing a Conditional Use Application today from Giga Project 19 Madison LLC. The Conditional Use would allow Giga to construct a 10 Mega Watt, air-cooled, module data facility. 

The city previously approved an ordinance that rezoned two parcels of city owned land just north of highway 34. The rezoning, from highway business to light manufacturing, was the first step in the process of bringing a data mining facility to Madison.

The City commission can approve or reject any ruling from the Planning Commission.
