An individual sought by law enforcement following a reported trespassing incident on Farmers Avenue has been taken into custody, according to the Madison Police Department.
Authorities initially responded to a report of two individuals trespassing on private property. Upon arrival, both suspects fled the scene on foot. One individual was apprehended shortly after, while officers continued searching for the second person.
Police later located a vehicle believed to have been used by the suspects and indicated the remaining individual was likely still in the area, either hiding or traveling on foot. The department asked residents to remain alert and report any suspicious activity to Lake County Dispatch.
Officials noted during the search that the individual was not believed to pose a danger to the public.
In an update, the Madison Police Department confirmed the second individual has since been taken into custody and thanked the public for its assistance.
