The Madison City Commission approved a new Parks Master Plan on Tuesday. Parks Superintendent Mike McGillivray, and City Administrator Jameson Berreth spoke with KJAM Radio about the plan. McGillivray talked about some of the projects in progress.

Upcoming projects include adding new dog-friendly green spaces, replacing equipment at Northwest Park, and developing Cyber Estates Park. 

Berreth also gave an update on plans for the recreation trail.

The city budget for the Parks Department was approximately 1.12-million dollars in 2026.
