JD Prorok struck out 15 batters over 6 innings, and led the Madison High School baseball team to a 9-3 win in Game 1 of a doubleheader with Groton Area on Saturday.

Prorok gave up 1 run on 3 hits over his 6 innings. Tregg McGillivary drove in 3 runs for the Bulldogs. Darwin Corrales Gonzalez drew 3 walks, and scored twice, with 2 RBI.

In Game 2, it was Braylon Oftedal’s time to shine on the mound. The senior tossed 7 shutout innings, in a 4-0 win over the Tigers. Oftedal scattered 8 hits, and struck out 9 batters.

Cohn Hahn, Casyn Crabtree, and Ethan Sims drove in runs for the Bulldogs, who also took advantage of 3 Groton errors.

The 17-1 Bulldogs will be in Brandon tonight, taking on the Lynx at 6pm.
