The Lake County Commission is expected to consider a range of routine business items and several notable resolutions and recognitions during its meeting Tuesday morning.

Among the first scheduled action items is consideration of a special liquor license request for the Madison Fire Department’s Bull Ride event scheduled for June 5.

Commissioners are also expected to renew a memorandum of agreement involving Dakota Ethanol.

Lake County 911 Director April Denholm is scheduled to present a resolution supporting the classification of Lake County 9-1-1 telecommunicators as Class B members of the South Dakota Retirement System. The designation would recognize dispatchers under a retirement category typically reserved for certain public safety positions.

The meeting will also include recognition of emergency personnel involved in an ice rescue on Jan. 24th.

Tuesday’s County Commission meeting begins at 9am in the Commission room at the Lake County Courthouse.
