The Bulldogs came away with an exciting 11-10 win over Elk Point-Jefferson Tuesday night in a back-and-forth extra-inning showdown. Madison secured the victory in the top of the ninth when Mara Klingbile delivered the go-ahead RBI single to break a 10-10 tie.

The Bulldogs totaled 14 hits on the night, led by Kelsey Dudley’s impressive 4-for-5 performance at the plate. Klingbile drove in three runs, while Evie Lurz and Klingbile each blasted solo home runs to help power the offense. Madison erased an early deficit with a five-run fourth inning and managed to hold off multiple Huskies comeback attempts late in the game.

Dudley also picked up the win in relief, striking out six over seven innings as the Bulldogs improved with another dramatic late-game victory.

Next up for the Bulldogs is a game against Lennox on Friday.
