The Lake County Commission approved four resignation letters during their meeting on Tuesday morning. They included the resignation of Abby Oftedal, who has been the Interim Commission Administration Officer for over a year. Oftedal’s resignation is effective July 1st. 

Commissioners also approved the resignation of Veteran Services Officer John Anderson. Anderson has served in that position since 2023. 

The other two resignations were both Heavy Equipment Operators in the Highway Department. 

In other action Tuesday, the county approved a temporary malt beverage, SD Wine and liquor license for the Madison Fire Department, who will run the beer tent at the Northern Bull Riding event at Prairie Village on June 5th.
