The Madison City Commission will consider a variety of infrastructure, finance and community-related items during its upcoming meeting, including construction bids, utility improvements and several requests from local organizations.

Agenda items include a Resolution to approve a new Plat in Block 6 of Daly’s Addition. Commissioners will also consider approval of a Tax Increment Finance District for The Summit at Van Epps, LLC.

Last year, The Summit at Van Eps received approval for one-million dollars in HOME Investment Partnership Program funds  loans, $600,000 in a Housing Trust Fund loan and $548,859 in Housing Tax Credits, resulting in $4.3 million in Housing Tax Credit equity. The development will consist of 28 units in Madison. There will be 3 studio units, 15 one-bedroom, 6 two-bedroom units and 4 three-bedroom units for tenants at or below 60% of Area Median Income.

There will also be another update from Giga Energy, on the proposed digital currency mining facility, but no action of any kind is on the agenda for the proposed project.

Tonight’s city commission meeting begins at 5:30pm in the commission room of Madison City Hall.
