The Interlakes Area United Way is once again giving residents a chance to win big while making a difference close to home.

The nonprofit’s annual WIN BIG Raffle returns July 1, with tickets priced at $50 each. Proceeds from the fundraiser stay local, supporting programs and services across Lake, Miner, and Moody counties.

This year’s raffle features prizes donated entirely by local businesses and farm families. Nine winners will be drawn during halftime of Dakota State University’s Ag Bowl football game on Saturday, September 12. Winners will choose their prizes in the order they’re selected.

Top prizes include a 2026 Cub Cadet ZTXS5 60-inch zero-turn mower and a Cub Cadet ZT1 42-inch zero-turn mower, both donated by Lake County International. Other prizes include a four-day, three-night Northwoods cabin getaway near Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, donated by Dave and Karli Ellens, along with six half-beef bundles donated by Ebsen Farms, Maas Farms, and Johnson Farms.

Interlakes Area United Way Executive Director Karen Giles says the raffle is one of the community’s most exciting fundraising events because every ticket purchased helps fund vital local programs serving families, children, seniors, and individuals throughout the region.

Among those benefiting is High Plains Alternative School. Director Bobbie Kommes says United Way funding helps provide classroom resources, books, graduation caps and gowns, food for students, and other items that support student success.

Tickets can be purchased online at interlakesunitedway.org or in person beginning July 1 at Lake County International, One Stop, East River Federal Credit Union, First Bank & Trust, and FirstLine Funding Group in Madison. United Way will also offer special ticket promotions during this summer’s DownTown in MadTown events.

The 2026 WIN BIG Raffle is made possible through the support of more than two dozen local sponsors, with East River Federal Credit Union also covering the processing costs for the donated beef bundles.
