Mary (Wilhite) Bauman, age 73, of Tampa, FL, passed away at her home on Monday, July 20, 2026.

Memorial services will be at 11 AM on Thursday, September 17th at Rustand-Weiland Funeral Chapel with Pastor Peggy Hanson officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be in Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls. 

Mary Jean Wilhite was born October 25, 1952 in Sioux Falls to Richard & Bonnie (Pearson) Wilhite. In 1971, she graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, which is now the Pavilion. Not long after graduation, she married Don Bauman and they made their home in Tampa, FL. They later divorced, so Mary became a nurse and raised two children, Luke and Patricia. Mary was an active member of their local Presbyterian church.

Mary is survived by her children, Luke Bauman and Patricia (Scott) McGee both of Tampa, FL; sister, Barbara Wilhite of Madison, SD and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by Richard & Bonnie Wilhite, Ed & Stella Pearson and Hugh & Leola Wilhit
