Oldham-Ramona-Rutland High School graduate Hattie Hanson is among five South Dakota students receiving a $750 scholarship from the South Dakota Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association.
Hanson, a 2026 graduate, is the daughter of Jason and Karla Hanson. During her high school career, she participated in volleyball, basketball, track and field, softball, National Honor Society, One-Act Play and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
She earned four varsity letters in volleyball, basketball and softball, along with three letters in track and field.
Hanson was recognized with Most Improved awards in softball, track and field and basketball. She also received the Raider Award in softball.
Hanson plans to attend South Dakota State University, where she will study human biology. After earning her degree, she plans to attend dental school.
The SDIAAA awarded five $750 scholarships this year to graduating South Dakota high school seniors. The other recipients are Jarret Bauer of Watertown, Ellie Clayberg of Tea, Austin Clercx of Elk Point and Eliot Erickson of Elkton.
In addition, two $1,000 scholarships were awarded through the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association Student Essay and Scholarship Program. Those scholarships went to Olivia Prunty of Mitchell and Jarret Bauer of Great Plains Lutheran.
