A Texas supplier is suing Summit Carbon Solutions, alleging the company walked away from a multi-million-dollar order for specialized carbon pipeline valves.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in New York, claims Summit paid about five million dollars before pausing payments, leaving more than two million dollars unpaid.

The equipment was intended for Summit’s Midwest Carbon Pipeline, a project facing regulatory disputes across the Midwest, including South Dakota.

It’s the second lawsuit filed against Summit by a major pipeline industry supplier.
