The Madison City Commission will hold its next quarterly work session Monday at noon at Madison City Hall.

One of the main topics will be the Madison Police Department’s use of license plate reader cameras.

Police Chief Justin Meyer will explain how the technology is used, along with department policies and procedures. He’ll also provide examples of how license plate readers have helped with local investigations.

A representative from Flock Safety, the company that provides the technology, will join the meeting virtually to answer questions from commissioners.

The commission will also review a communications action plan developed in response to a public survey conducted earlier this year.

The plan focuses on providing residents with more timely and clear information, improving public understanding of local government, and strengthening trust and confidence in city government.

The quarterly work session is open to the public. Residents can attend in person at City Hall or participate online through Zoom.
