The Madison City Commission has approved the city’s tax levy for the coming year.
The total tax levy approved for the City of Madison is $2,499,388.45, all of which is designated for general purposes.
City Administrator Jameson Berreth explained how that number is determined.
The commission passed the ordinance directing the city’s Finance Officer to certify the tax levy to the Lake County Auditor before the October 1st deadline.
