The City of Madison has announced changes to the look of utility bills its residents receive. The city says the adjustments are to improve readability and add clearer information about payment options, including how to pay by phone or by scanning the QR code printed on the bill.
Credit and debit card payments are no longer accepted by phone at City Hall. To pay by phone, residents need to call the new payment line, at 1-866-236-5262. Paying by phone now also includes a 3%, plus $2 processing fee.
