On Friday, the Lake County Sheriff’s office apprehended an individual, whose disappearance had triggered an alert by Moody County officials.
On Wednesday, March 4th, the Moody County Sheriff’s office sent out notice on social media, warning of a potentially dangerous individual on the loose.
The post says that the Moody County Sheriff’s Office was assisting Sioux Falls Police, the Minnehaha County Sheriff, and the Highway Patrol, in locating a subject who is currently on Parole and has Absconded. He has last been seen in a vehicle that was found wrecked and abandoned near 238th St and 468th Avenue south of Colman.
That individual was later identified as Zachariah Ryan.
At around 10:30pm on Friday, the Lake County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a suspicious person in the area of 465th Ave and 223rd St. That’s approximately five miles east of Nunda. The reporting party stated there was a male at his residence who stated his name was Clifford and his vehicle broke down.
A deputy arrived in the area shortly after and located the individual walking. The individual was identified as Zachariah Ryan.
Ryan was taken into custody without incident.
