Dakota State University and the Seoul Media Institute of Technology formalized a new international academic partnership during a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony at the Beacom Institute of Technology on Tuesday. The agreement establishes a framework for collaboration between DSU’s Beacom College of Computer & Cyber Sciences and SMIT.

Dr. Mary Bell, Dean of the Beacom College of Computer & Cyber Science, said the new agreement will strengthen a long standing relationship.

Dr. Bell said threats to the two countries, particularly from North Korea, are persistent.

Dakota State President, José-Marie Griffiths, says the agreement will have global impacts.

Under the partnership, students from SMIT will have pathways to pursue advanced degrees through Dakota State University.
