An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Tuesday for EmBe-Madison. The new childcare and preschool center will begin operation on Monday, serving children ages 4 weeks through 5 years. 

Located at 1032 Center St W, it provides full-day care, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Mon-Fri with a capacity for 140 children, featuring seven classrooms, a gym, and a playground.

Addressing those in attendance on Tuesday, EmBe CEO Kerri Tietgen talked about the philosophy of EmBe.

Also during Tuesday’s event, DSU President Dr. José-Marie Griffiths, stressed the importance of early childhood education in the community. 

EmBe-Madison began operation Monday.
