More awards and honors are piling up for Dakota State’s senior forward Tabor Teel, who has been named to the NAIA All-America First Team. She was a Second Team honoree last year.
Teel became the second player in program history to be named to back-to-back All-America teams during Division I era, joining Jessi Giles, who was First Team in 2021 and Second Team in 2022.
Teel produced one of the most historic single-seasons in Dakota State’s history, breaking the records for most points with 606 (previous record was Giles with 603 in 2021-22) and most rebounds with 379 (previous record was Julie Fiegen with 283 rebounds from 1985-86).
Teel started in all 36 games this season for DSU, helping the Trojans to their inaugural Frontier Conference regular season title and advancing to the NAIA national’s semifinals for the second time in the past four seasons. She also was named to the Frontier Conference Women’s Basketball Player-of-the-Year, her second straight year earning the league’s Player-of-the-Year award (North Star Athletic Association in 2024-25).
Teel was named to the Frontier’s First Team All-Conference and All-Defense teams for DSU. She was named to the NAIA Women’s Basketball All-Tournament Second Team.
Dakota State finished their 2025-26 season with an overall record of 30-6, the most single season school record wins.
It markes the seventh straight year that Dakota State landed at least one recipient to the All-America teams.
