Verna Louise Anderson, 97, of Hartford passed away Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Ava’s House Hospice in Sioux Falls. No services are planned at this time.
Verna Sneesby was born May 27, 1929 near Carthage, SD to John and Alma (Windedahl)Sneesby. On September 7, 1951 she married Gerard Miller and this union was blessed with five children. June 12, 1967 she married Roger L Anderson and they were blessed with one more son.
She was an avid gardener, needleworker and master Scrabble player. Time spent with family was her greatest joy.
Verna is survived by: her children, Terri (Keith) Schettler of Payson, AZ, Mike Miller ofSturgis, Jim Miller of Bridgewater, Donna (Kevin) Bossman of Madison, Tom Miller of Hartford and David (Caroline LeBeau) Anderson of Hartford; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Janice Carstenson of Dell Rapids, Wanda Sneesby of Erath, LA and Galen Sneesby of Chaplin, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
