Charles “Chuck” Robbins, age 89, of Wentworth, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Monday, June 29 th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Anthony Urban as the Celebrant. Visitation will be 2-4 PM on Sunday at Rustand-Weiland
Funeral Chapel with a prayer service at 4 PM and Knights of Columbus Rosary will follow the prayer service. Visitation will continue on Monday from 9:30-10:15 AM at the funeral chapel followed by
procession to the church for mass. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery with military honors provided by Madison American Legion and Madison VFW.

Charles Peter Robbins was born February 19, 1937 in Kingsford, MI, the son of Norman & Mae (Greenwood) Robbins. He graduated from Kingsford High School in 1954 and shortly after, he enlisted
in the US Air Force on January 17, 1955. Chuck was with the military police and he was deployed to the Strategic Air Command in the French Morocco (now called Morocco) located in North Africa that was
responsible for the nuclear systems of that area. On January 16, 1959, he was honorably discharged and returned home and eventually met Phyllis Pfotenhauer in April 1960. On November 26, 1960, they were
married in Pierre, SD and he worked for the highway department for the state. He left the highway department and became an insurance agent. In 1966, he received a call to become the owner of State
Farm Insurance in Madison where he worked until he sold it to Randy Schaefer in December 1998.
Chuck’s favorite hobbies were going fishing and hunting as often as he could. He loved to ride his bicycle and be a community volunteer. He was a 4 th degree member of the Knights of Columbus and
active member of the Madison Kiwanis Club. It is safe to say that nobody will ever sell as many pancake breakfast tickets as he did!! As the future pancake breakfast time approaches, let us remember Chuck by going out and buy your tickets every year!
He is survived by wife, Phyllis of Wentworth; daughter, Kathy Robbins of Wentworth; daughter, Julie (Frank) Smith and their son, Robert Stone of Timnath, CO; daughter, Lisa (Dennis) Bauer and their
children, Sam, Ben & Emily of the Twin Cities, MN; son, Bill (Bridget) Robbins and their children James, Logan, Rihanna & Ontario of Holmen, WI and several nieces & nephews.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judith Fulfer.
