Lake County and the City of Madison are teaming up for a free electronics drop-off event this weekend.
The event will be held Saturday, October 3rd, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Madison Recycling Center at 800 Southwest 7th Street.
Residents are reminded that early drop-offs will not be allowed.
A wide variety of electronics will be accepted, including computers, laptops, televisions, monitors, printers, cameras, cell phones, DVD and CD players, video game systems, keyboards, mice, hard drives, radios, scanners and other electronic equipment.
Items that will not be accepted include microwaves, humidifiers, dehumidifiers, vacuums, light fixtures, exercise equipment, hair dryers, curling irons, electric toothbrushes, coffee pots, crock pots, blenders and space heaters.
The event is for residential customers only. Businesses, rental property management companies, government entities, nonprofit organizations and schools are not eligible.
